Should there be a Final Fantasy 7 game that follows the events of Advent Children?

It's a thought, but no they shouldnt. From the movie, it has already been shown that they lost sight of the "true" purpose of the game, therefore any other game that would be made, would have the same result. On the other hand, i would lose to see a remake of the original FFVII because it was great, and I would want to see how drastically the graphical interface would change throughout the whole game, not to mention there are so many things about it that would better.

Hell no. Square has got to stop coasting on the success of a game released in 1997 and get back to making totally new FF games in unique universes. That's what the series used to be about.

But hey, if they could release another game and make millions by putting Cloud and Sephiroth in it again, why wouldn't they? I expect to see a FF7 remake at the very least in a few years, as well as a PSP port that will surely sell well. There's too much money to be made there.

the more games that are made on final fantasy VII, the less there will be of the original game, and the original meaning/story behind FFVII.

let's say that you REALLY like cherries. you LOVE cherries. but if you eat them EVERY day, after a while, you'll start to hate them. the less there is of something, the more value it will have.

besides, with what's in the movie... that's WAY too short to be a game.

there is one being developed i think its due for release some time next year check gamespot.com they have more info ff rules. but they need to go back to the roots ffvll was great so was ffx but x-2 sucked and not sure i'll get xll reveiws sounds like there moving away from what made final fantasy
