Suppose that you are examining a species of moth over time. At the beginning of your observations, the moths have white wings. The moths like to live on birch trees, so that birds (which think the moths are delicious) have trouble seeing them. Now suppose that because of industrial pollution, the birch trees start getting a coating of black soot. Now the moths, instead of being camouflaged by the tree, stick out, and the birds are having a feast. Let a moth, because of a mutation, produce more melanin in its wings so that they appear dark in color. The moth is less likely to be eaten by a bird, and its offspring (which, because this was a genetic mutation, will also have dark wings) are also less likely to become bird food. The feeding habits of the birds are a natural selection mechanism. I use this example because it is one which Darwin actually used to illustrate the theory.
The theory of evolution is now proven to be correct. You will find the proof in another post I have made today on this same subject.

natural selection is when wekaer animals die off and stronger animals survive and after 50 billion years there is only stronger left which is the doorway of evolution
see bak in the day an ape that ran slower wold have been eaten by a dinosaur whereas those that ran faster survived and the slower ones eventually all die b4 reproducing and the faster ones evolve it takes millions of years for this to occur that is why we look very diiferent now to our ape ancestors
you first two seem very dense

In my understanding, natural selection is the logic of the strongest is the one to live in order to maintain the existance of each species. Deers, for example, if they are going to breed, they have to fight. The strongest deer will get the most productive doe. This will make the species strong.

Natural selection means that those animals (or plants or bacteria) that are "lucky" to get offspring and thereby to pass on their genes, are selected naturally. For example, a mother animals that has the instinct of caring for her babies will tend to keep her babies alive, thereby passing on the "childcare gene" to future generations.
As opposed to artificial selection, where a human animal breeder selects those animals that he likes the most.

Darwinist opt to confuse organic decision with Darwinism. whilst animals breed, the two nature selects their mate or human beings do. whilst human beings try this is named breeding, and not organic decision. Natual decision works the two nicely for Creationism or clever layout. So it does not instruct Darwinism, one way or the different.

OK Amanda, if you really don't know...
Natural selection is where the fittest organisms are able to pass their genes on to the next generation through reproduction.

this is one type of method in olden days agriculture.in our olden days our farmers don't know abt hybrid plants.thats why they select and used highly growing&crop giving plants seeds for afterwords.like repeat ed somemore years farmers get some good crop.{from a populationof plants u select the particular healthy plants is caled natural selection}

It's part of Darwin's theory of evolution. It's "survival of the fittest". I.e. Nature "selects" the fittest.

the weak animals die off and only the strongest survive to pass on their genes, unlike humans where all the sick and mentally ill and so on spend time breeding to make the race weaker.
