A quick search revealed Perfitmouse which is egometrically designed and seems to be the Rolls Royce of mice (along with the price)

I think you need to check out RSI website also listed below which give you helpful pointers on how you should be sitting at your computer and remember your employer has a duty to train and provide you with the correct equipment to use your computer for health and safety reasons - so they could bear the cost of a suitable mouse!

Take your hand off your mouse, flex your hands during breaks, take regular breaks from using your mouse, learn some leyboard shortcuts, all things that can improve your cramps. (RSI)

Personally I have always used Logitech mice as I find them comfortable, but its all down to personal tastes.

Despite what you may have read, the rolls royce of micee is not a mouse. It's a glove that tricks the computer into thinking it's a mouse. you can set the "resting" position of all your fingers individually, and the "pressing" position likewise. No flat surface required, no cables (battery operated), USB2 plug using wifi data connection, biometrically designed so that after 5 minutes worn you don't notice it's on, 100% electrical (no moving parts, except your hand, using hundreds of pressure sensors), designed for use in virtual reality environments, standing price about US$400 (roughly), compatible with WinXP, MacOS, etc, I am unable to provide link (lost contact with supliers 2 years ago when my business idea fizzled). Good luck.
