it's as if im always "appeared offline" even though i already changed it to "online" [ive already tried to un-install and re-install the messenger but the problem still occurs] it only happens on one particular account. if i use my other account it's working fine.

1) Add your own msn email address to your contact list
2) Now Signin as Online. DO NOT select Appears Offline on the Logon window.
3) The popup window of your login will tell you that you are online to you or your friends.

Well , if i am not the only one that has answered this problem I am sorry for disrupting , I have this problem , but only it`s more sever , you can continuously install different versions of windows live messenger , but this won`t be fun at all , this is the only solution I have - i am sure that this will work , bye !

i do not use Yahoo Messenger yet on target in case you position invisible mode then no human being else can see that you're on-line. you are able to communicate over with them and each and every thing notwithstanding it says that you're offline. perchance examine to be certain if there is an invisible mode on yahoo messenger also.
