you know she doesn't want to work after graduating but prefers to get married and be a stay-at-home mom? I have a friend who worked for 2 yrs, got married, worked for one and a half years more, got pregnant and stopped working to be a stay-at-home mom.

Without hesitation, that would be a big NO! Although it's great to have something to fall back on, I think your daughter would learn some responsibility if she had to work for it on her own. In this day and age, too many people hand things out to their children. So when they get out in the real world, they are unable to cope with reality.

I understand the logic, but I'm also looking at it from your daughter's point of view. First mommy and daddy took care of her, then her plan is to find a guy to do the same? Sounds like your little girl has some growing up to do. When does she ever learn to take care of herself?

I would definatly pay for college. She may choose to be a stay at home mom, but when she gets older, she may get a divorce, or something may happen and she will have to work. It would be nice to have something to fall back on.
