So that they can learn that life is not all play. You have to work hard to get ahead and are expected to support yourself after school is out. Therefore, you need a good education and nothing worthwhile comes easy. If you discipline yourself to do your homework right away and with speed and no distractions, there will be plenty of time to have fun too.

Homework is supposed to be meant as practice for students. Also, homework is suppose to be an alternative way for students to understand and apply the new things they are suppose to be learning.

You will notice I use the word "suppose" alot. That's because homework often becomes a chore and most students hate homework. The original intention of homework is lost and it becomes a drag.

I wish schools and teachers remember what homework is suppose to achieve and not load students with so much homework that it becomes a drag. Students leant most thru fun and discovery, so I hope homework will be more fun. That would be the best win-win situation.

We have 24 hours a day.. and 10 hours go to sleep for kids. 2 hours for lunch, dinner, break, breakfast, personal stuff and so on. That left 12 hours. Schooling hour is 6... ended up you only have 6 hours maybe for hobby, loitering, basketball, football and so on. And this 6 hour that we are talking which is very much connected to environment, attitude, parent's guidance, friend's influence, and your physical adaption.

You can have fun, but depending on how the parent's guidance overul your remaining 6 hours. They may think going for tuition classes can add more value to your 6 hours.. but indeed some parents think you have a fun outside the house for these 6 hours is even worthful because you have a larger network

That also depending what job is the parents doing. If you want to have fun, make sure you have the parents who is an employer....

I agree my son has just finished approx 3 months worth of homework in just 2 weeks, teachers don't care that parents have to work as well as help the kids with their homework and look after the house and any other kids. Give the kids a break NO MORE HOMEWORK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I'm a teacher and I give homework for three reasons:
1--It's required by the district I work for to assign homework.
2--They practice what they learned at school.
3--So the parents know what we are currently working on at school.

Because they have to learn some time. It is when they are doing homework (with their parent helping) that they are actually learning. I don't think they learn much at school.

Homework is also a way for teachers to make children and their parents suffer for their own bad childhood experiences. If they suffered, all kids should suffer.

because if you dont make your homework you wioll never get a job and thus you will never earn enough money to raise another kid who doesnt want to make its homework, so the kids that doesnt make their homework will eventuallly no longer exist

that is why you should make your homework.

You understand ?
