Sadly a lot of the cruelty is malicious...obviously from people with no clue what Steve Irwin really stood for. On the other hand, sometimes cruel humor is a way of hiding/compensating for sadness and shock (a perhaps irrelevant, if dead-on..forgive the pun...example is the Chuckles the Clown episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show...the absurd, often tasteless jokes were merely a way to accept the sad fact of death)...unfortunately, seems a lot of comments/questions here fit the former...was never frankly a Steve Irwin watcher, but I did see him a few times, couldn't help but like him, and yes, I know he will be missed...and loved...by more than a few people...

People are like that with celebrities. Just ignore them and read the stuff you would like to read.

Steve was an extreme character, and people were either going to love or hate him. But you should not speak ill of the dead.

Just remember to support Bindi and Tom, Steve's children when they start following in their Dad's footsteps in the next few years.

I wish some people would stop being jerks, Steve was the best, a great Environmentalist, who we have learned from!!!
He did no harm, stupid idiots went nuts when he held his baby around the crocks, sick people are just looking for a way to start trouble due to their own short comings.

My LOVE goes out to his family, RIP, Blessed Be.

You human beings are between many of the coldest, heartless human beings i've got ever had the dipleasure to hearken to too! Steve Irwin did plenty for his u . s . a ., and the planet. in spite of what he did interior the path of his profession, might desire to have not something to do along with his death! Has it occured to you that his infants would be raised without daddy. That as youthful as they are, they are going to probably have little or no, if any memory of him what so ever? You call that poetic justice? I call it heartbreaking. they are going to in no way see him, hug him, argue with him, or have the prospect to have their father ever returned. death isn't poetic justice. it fairly is in simple terms permenent. i've got in no way considered everybody so indiffrent and harsh with regard to the death of yet another person in my existence. on a similar time as you contemplate on that, save this in recommendations. Karma is a humorous element. on a similar time as you spit your judgmental rubbish, somebody someplace is conserving music of your words, and cruelty. i'm hoping whilst the time comes, you will understand in simple terms what your words have led to. i'm hoping that his relatives is physically powerful sufficient to bypass on, i choose them each and all of the stable good fortune and love i will bestow.

I will miss Steve and I was one of his fans. You must realize, however that all people do not think alike and there are many down right evil individuals in this forum and in life as well.

IGNORE THEM!

They love a stage and an audience...refuse to share any part of your mind with them.

it makes me want to cry that people are not showing the respect that he should be getting
so he made a living working close to "dangerous animals" do you drive to work every day chances are greater that you will die doing that than what he did. R.I.P. Steve and God bless your family.

You have a good point. He was a very good person. And he cared about the animals very much. I know that Terri, Bindi, and Bob are feeling lost right now. I feel very bad for them.

I am always surprised when people react this way! I guess I will never understand it, so I'll go on expecting to be surprised! The fact that everyone knew who he was, says a lot!
