Go to www.colorfastink.com. You can print out instructions on how to refill all kinds of ink cartridges. And believe it or not, I buy my black ink refills at the local dollar store, you know, where everything in the store costs a dollar. In fact I bought 25 of them. And I have been using them in my printer almost two years now and never had a problem. The only drawback is the plastic refill thing is a pain to use and very messy. So what I did was use the needle that came with a color refill kit - which I got at a place called Big Lots, another discount store which sells the ink kits for the website I gave you, and it works great. I have saved a fortune in ink refills. But you gotta refill them before they dry out, or yeah, they will screw up your printer. Just wipe the bottom of the cartridge off with a tissue dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean it. And clean the thingamajig that the print cartridge runs long in your printer with a little rubbing alcohol as well. The website also sells refills. This year, 'cause I do a lot of printing, I have used 3 refills. Three dollars, plus 24 cents tax! As compared to what? What does a cartridge cost? Heck, if you want, and there's no dollar stores near you, I'll grab you a bunch and mail 'em to you. But I've never had a problem.
