Why do you have to convince him?
I'd say that you have bigger issues to work on first like why you have to ask for your boyfriends permission.If he loves you he will accept you the way you are, and whatever you decide.
Keep in mind:Its difficult to get both sides to look even, so go see an experienced piercer. I've seen many people get this done and it looks uneven. Make sure the piercer is accurate,experienced and measures your nose. Check out the piercer's portfolios.
Make sure you are getting pierced with a needle, NOT a gun because the gun causes damage to the nostril, can not be sterilized and can not pierce in an accurate spot.

The weight of the stud is going to droop one side of your nose, so in order to balance the nose you need to have studs in both nostrils! That should convince him.

It's your nose. u decide. as bf, he has the right to comment, u make the decisions. ultimately, u just need to put your point across to him clearly and help him to see it the way you see. =)
