I can type fast but I need to see the keyboard. But without seeng it, the speed becomes slow. I use all my eight fingers and the thumbs.

You have to become familiar with the keys. You can do this by either taking a typing/keyboarding class or just using a keyboard all the time. There are online and cd programs designed to help people learn how to type.

Practice!! At school we had a cloth put over our hands on the keyboard so we couldn't look at our hands whilst typing - could only watch the screen and what we were typing from - no cheating! It works but it takes a lot of practice.

Just type a lot and that will give you some practice. I got my computer about a year ago and i was an extremely slow typer then. now i am typing very fast and i am not looking at the screen.

Practice has just about got me touch typing - but it has evolved over a few years of keyboard use. If you want quicker results, you will need to do some sort of typing course.

Just Practice, It Took Me A While, But Now I Type Approx. 80WPM, So Just Takes Time And Practice.

Learning typing on type writer. The classes for computer and type writer are similar. Once you get the feel on type writer, you will get the idea to type without seeing your key board

Find a beginners typing book if you cannot take a coarse in typing. It is a slow process to learn but you rarely forget how to do it.

Use the Mavis Beacon CD software typing series. It's very popular and effective. I used it and improved my typing skills by an incredible amount.
