There is no single cold, hard fact that makes evolution a science. There are thousands of facts that work together to form the framework for the theory. Check TalkOrigins for details.

Science is the systematic investigation of the world around us. Evolution is a theory and a fairly strong one at that. I say theory because in science, the word "fact" must be used with caution. People prefer to think of facts as inarguable, infallible, and unchangable. In science, we need room to revise and rethink as we learn more and our perspectives on things change. For example, thousands and thousands of years ago it was a fact that the Earth was flat. It seemed so and no one really had any reason to think otherwise, and the flat Earth theory worked very well in the design of the newly invented wheel, but then we learned that wasn't actually the case.
In science, theory is more preferable to fact and there are strong theories and weak theories and some that are somewhere in between. The theory of gravitation...that gravity acts a particular way, is a strong theory. The theory of dark energy, a force which causes the universe to expand at an accelerating rate, is a weak theory. The theory of gravitation is strong because it works in most situations and we have little reason to believe otherwise, the theory of dark energy is weak because it's difficult to investigate and we really don't know that much about the nature of the expansion of the universe yet. Both theories are subject to change.
Evolution has been observed in various forms in the short time span we are limited to.

Evolution *is* science. Fundamentalist science-bashers can repeat their nonsense a million times, it doesn't change the facts. The Kansas schools can put "evolution is controversial"-stickers on biology books, it doesn't change the fact that evolution is one of the best established theories of modern science. Let the Kansas schools put "Earth might be flat" on the geography books, same thing.
It's a cold hard fact that evolution accounts for current evidence from fossils, microbiology, insecticide-resistant bugs and molecular similarity of species. It's a cold hard fact that no other scientific theory for the origin of complex life has been proposed, let alone a theory that accounts for the same facts.

I am NOT an anthropoligist but someone has to believe in the evidence from the research studies. Anthropology is the study of the history of man by using science. For anyone that doesn't believe and/or accept in this science owes themselves the right to draw your own conclusion and explain it to the world.
We came from apes, plain and simple. The cold hard facts comes from the books written from people in the field of anthropology. Sometimes there some things which cannot be answered or explained of why, it's just accepted because there isn't any other data to oppose these studies.
When "The Origin of Species" was published it was a stepping stone to further study into biology. In the name of science, we as individuals owe it to ourselves to keep an open mind towards any theory. The Galapagos Islands itself is a cold hard fact you might be looking for.

It is obvious that you need far more EDUCATION about science than this forum provides!
As a short introduction, science holds that there are NO FACTS. Facts are something that people create and that are not changeable. Gravity is a theory just as Evolution is a theory. Both are real and happen. They can only be measured and tested. Neither are "FACT".
Now, go do some more READING and look in places such as the library and schools.

There isn't one. Or maybe I should say there isn't just one.
Scientists look at LOTS of data, like fossils, DNA, and various dating techniques, and put together a cohesive theory.
Now, scientists use the word theory a little differently than most of us. It means there is considerable evidence to support the idea, and NO evidence that contradicts it. Evolution is a great example of this. The amount of info ("facts") we have that support the theory is pretty overwhelming. But, that doesn't mean some new discovery could be made tomorrow that puts it all in question. That is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY, but it could happen.

The theory makes testable predictions. This is shown in the evolution of antibiotic resistent bacteria, pesticide resistent insects, and even fossils that are discovered.
That evolution occurs is a fact. The theory regards the mechanisms behind evolution.
It also important to ignore what creationists say about evolution. They don't understand it and are quite prone to lie about what scientists have to say about the topic.

Evolution is from presents existence back to its source, and science is of theory, facts and practises from on hand existence. Thereby, evolution is a process and could not be a science.
Evidence or facts are from extinct creature or left behind objects which doesn't conform to the present existence is not cold hard facts of the evolution. They are the dead ends of their existence.
Humans are exempted from 'check and balance' of world's nature, and humans are the perils of the world.

a scientific concept honestly skill "this thought is supported via ALL scientific data and is precise on its predictions and is testable and passes all exams of it" it is approximately as sturdy of a declare as you additionally could make. In technology, it is the prize winner. So definite, evolution and the enormous Bang are scientific theories. it is as extreme because it is going.there's no bigger declare in technology. that's what you're lacking. The data of evolution are defined via the thought of evolution. easily, I suggestion you that throughout the time of the previous you start up off telling somebody which you think of evolution and the enormous Bang are "only an thought", you're able to desire to a minimum of study numerous technology books on the project and/or take some college training on evolutionary biology and astrophysics to be responsive to what we are talking approximately. The bible is stuffed with contradictions and inaccuracies. extremely than itemizing 1000's of them, I provided a link to between the numerous pages approximately that. God is imaginary. Anyone who calls Evolution a "fact" has absolutely no understanding of how science works.
