Bullying is more than just being aggresive towards a person or threatening him or her physically. Bullies often make fun of fellow students, taunt them, say unkind things to them, ignore their presence, and generally makes their victims' lives miserable. Sometimes the bully acts alone, but in some situations, like middle school or high school, he or she is joined by other students who want to remain the bully's friend, or to fit in with the bully's clique. People who do this are just as bad as the original bully. Bullies can do great, long-lasting harm if they are not stopped by an authority figure in the school.

Sports figures in high school are often some of the worst bullies that people will ever encounter.

Why to bullies act the way they do? I think it's largely a sense of power they get from it, not only over the victim, but over those who follow them in theiry bullying. Had bullies been punished in school, many people would have much fonder memories of their school years.

Bully's are very sadistic and they love to do it. It makes them feel superior, and they love the feeling they get when they physically hurt people.

The best cure for a bully is a couple of really good a*s-whoopin's.

bullies are on a power trip, when in reality they are moral cowards. Have you ever noticed that bullies usually have gang support either directly or indirectly to help intimidate people?

That pushing people around kicks a.s.s. Therapists and psychoanalysts try to make it more complex than it actually is. It has nothing to do with bad parenting, low self-esteem, or making other people feel bad to feel better about themselves. They are just being an asshole, nothing a good punch in the mouth won't fix.

Putting up with bullies is just a part of life... get over it... and get on with your life. They don't care about you so you don't need to care about them

I think they're thinking something like this:

"My friends will think this is soo funny."

or

"so-and-so did this to me, so I'm going to do it to you."
