ARCO IS CHEAPEST AND THAT IS THE ONLY PLACE I GO TO GET GAS.. IF YOU LIVE IN CALIFORNIA THEN YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT. GAS PRICES ARE CRAZY.
BUT..A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME THAT IF I WERE TO GET GAS FROM SHELL, IT WOULD LAST ME LONGER.
MY ENGINE IS A V6 AND MY GAS GOES HELLA FAST. SHELL IS A LOT MORE BUT I DONT KNOW WHICH WOULD SAVE ME MORE MONEY????

ARCO and Shell have their own patented additive packages. The fuel delivered to each gas station is probably picked up at the same refinery, but the additives are put into the tank before it gets there so it mixes correctly. Some cars run better on some fuels and not as well on others. I have a Dodge Dakota that hates Chevron gas and pings and gets really crappy mileage on it, but loves Shel, Texaco, And especially EXXON gas. I have a full size Dodge pick-up that loves Chevron and Texaco, doesn't mind Shell gas, but runs like crap on EXXON. The only way to really tell is to fill your tank then do a mileage check on one brand twice and see what the average MPG is, then do the same with the other.

I think that it's true that the better the brand and the more expensive it is, the longer it last. The only way to really find out would be to empty out ur tank and fill it with 2 gallons of shell and go driving until it empties out and then try arco gas and see how far that takes you. Good Luck
Dont forget to restart the milage.

My dad works at a refinery and makes gas everyday and he said that they all have to meet the same specifications in order to be sold so they should all be the same unless they mess with it after its approved.
