Disagree! I do think he is trying to repair his public image to some degree, no doubt. I don't really find that Tom has a thick head. He is actually a much smarter person than the media has recently been giving him credit for. The media has been all to happy to blow many things about Tom way out of perportion in the last 2 years or whatever. Our society is obviously way over medicated and that was his main point overall with the Brooke Shields thing. He knows and understands this and sure he got a little carried away, but his point is still real, no matter what anyone says. The U.S. has become a pharmaceutical dependant country, mainly because of the money behind it and the overall health statistics are falling rapidly compared to many European and Asian countries who rely much more on natural cures! Even modern day Cuba is ahead of the U.S. in most areas of medical efficiency and effectivness, but don't expect to see those stats on your local news if your an American. However we do see them up here in Canada. The more I look at the U.S., the more scary your leadership seems to be!

That was just the straw that broke the camels back, even as dim as cruise is, even he finally had to realize that his popularity has sunk faster than the titanic. You know that it had to have been his "people" that finally got through that 10 foot thick wall of ego that he has, to get him to start doing a bit of belated damage control.

Yes, I do. Tom Cruise is an idiot. His actions belied the real Tom Cruise.

Probably that and the fact that his career is $hit right now - MI3 didn't do so well in the box office, and neither did War of The Worlds.

I think so because he said those comments over a year ago and he is just now getting around to apologizing.

Yes.
I think his "people" realize that many things his says alienate many of his fans, and they are having him do damage control.

I think his publicist made him do it for good press. I still think he's off his rocker.
