this is the way it worked. the spring water healed valkyrie, but it was unstable. the large emotional burst she experienced when she found out that kazuto really did love her and wanted to marry her, and wasn't doing so just because he had been told to, caused her to revert to her child form. it was a sort of protection from the shock. unfortunatley, it undid the effects of the spring.
