Yes, you are not alone in that feeling. He just seems to have always been there, teaching us, entertaining us and helping us realize that there is no such thing as fear. He was indeed a Superman, fearless, yet kind and quite loving. I will miss him very much. Still in shock, I think it will really set in tomorrow.

No I'm sorry but I don't feel that way. I am very sorry he died and an influetial Australian citizen was lost but it doesn't cut me up that much. And he didn't actually die today, he died yesterday. I don't know if you're in America and it is the 4th of September there but I knew about his death over 24 hours ago. On another note, on Australian radio stations they have people who worked for Steve's conservation and charitable organizations ringing up and appealing to Australian citizens to donate to his charities because 'it would be a shame if they shut down.' Just because Steve Irwin died does not mean that his charities are going to be forced to close, I believe that these people are using his death and preying on people's sympathy in order to gain more donations during this time and I don't think this is a moral thing to do, even though the money will be going towards worthy animal conservation which I care deeply about.

Yes. I feel a great sense of loss too. He was a passionate and fascinating man and educated people who wouldn't normally even be interested in crocodiles. I feel a deep sense of sadness for his wife and two children left behind. He will be missed by many.
For those who don't know. Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray. The sting of this animal is usually not fatal. Steve was swimming too close to the animal and it stung him directly in the heart.

even though I did not watch his shows, I was struck by the loss I felt when I read the headline of his death. I feel like the world is a little bit differant and I'm not sure exactly why. I know he did many great things as a person and for our planet. So yes, I feel a great loss also.

Man, I loved that crazy Bastard. His shows were great to watch and laugh at when he almost got hurt. Now it'll just be sad. I feel sorry for his wife Terry and his kids. I always thought he'd be killed by a gator or a snake, but a stingray? That's really a weird way to go when you lived like he did.

He seemed like a good guy and environmentalist, and all. But I didn't think of him as part of my family, no. Now the Kraft Brothers from Zaboomafoo are like bros to me.
