Go to http://www.cafepress.com. You can open a mini-store there for free and sell your designs on t-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. When someone orders one of your shirts, they print it and ship it for you.

That way, you can experiment without spending anything but some of your time, and you'll be better prepared when you're ready to open your own shop.

It depends on the place you are. If you are in India then it is better not to start an on line sale but put a store for your stuff. Secondly arrange for some capital to invest in buying plain T-Shirt. The main thing with T-shirts is that - it is the writing on the T-shirt that sells and not the T-shirt itself. So it is better to buy plain T-shirts and use your creativity to scribble on it. Play with your mind and get your wacky ideas on to it depending on the mood and people. Like the younger ones would prefer more peppy lines which would be mostly flirtatious.

Are you going to sew them, or buy blank t-shirts and design then?

Either way, the best thing to do is creat a plan of what type of
t-shirts you want to do, designs, sizes..ect. Next you want to practice with your designs.

If you want to sell them online, try selling on ebay or get your own web page. Make sure you are creative in your advertising aswell.

Selling them out of a store is alot more work, you would need space, pay rent of the store, and need alot more equipment.

Forget the stores. You have to be willing to start giving your shirts away. Throw them in the crowd at the hottest night spots. Get them in the hands of influential peer groups. Then get lots of photos and build some buzz. Publicity is your plan of action
