You are the 5200 person to ask this old and moldy question. He was a man and he died, and he left a wife and children. Happens EVERY day and no one bats an eye. He is not a god, just a man. This is being WAY OVERBLOWN and scores of people can't stop talking about it, I don't know why. Many other things going on out there (more important). People just keep saying the same things over and over, how shocked they were, this and that, blah, blah, blah. It's getting very boring. You and the rest of these people will be unscathed by his demise. Peace to his family, now please, let's move on.

I am deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Steve Irwin. To me he was like a hero of sorts that I looked up to. His death was untimely and he died way too young. He was a great man and a good husband and father. He also was awesome at what he did on his documentaries. He will be greatly missed. I express deep condolances to his family. I hope they find that sting ray that did that to him, and put it out of it's misery. When I heard the news, tears came to my eyes. I wanted to meet him and now I can't.
I feel so sorry for his wife and kids at this point.
To me he's always gonna be a hero. God bless him and his family. What a terrible loss

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet
