We love to hate "daddy!"

I don't hate him. I think Bush should be up for a Nobel Peace Prize. But won't be given the politics behind the award. The free Western World should be on their knees daily thanking the President; Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld for their service to our country.

These are true American leaders that will go down in history as couragous leaders that knew right from wrong and did the right thing.

This all while previous presidents are still trying to figure out the meaning of the word 'is' and giving the Islamo-facist eight years to prepare. Shameful. Not to mention giving North Korea nuclear technology and speeding up their program tremendously. And allowing China to park in the Panama canal.

You could ask this same question about the citizens of any nation in the world. They all dislike lonesome George. In that respect Americans seem to be just like the rest of the world. So I guess the answer to your question is because he's not likeable. Otherwise, a little fellow as cute as he is would be well liked. The thing I can't abide about Georgie is the condescending manner in which he attempts to speak good english, and fails. Then there's that smirk.

Dubya gets blaimed for a number of things he doesn't control, and politics is polemic. He hasn't been a strong leader despite what his fans say. Congress doesn't have strong leadership either, and that's limited Bush. He was surrounded by people that gave him bad advice. Notably Cheney and Rumsfield.

History will remember him for his foreign policy since that's where he put his emphasis, and his domestic policy is forgettable. His foreign policy isn't empressive. He couldn't build an international consensus for invading Iraq. The primary arguements he gave for the invasion have proven false. Americans expected this to be another six week war with a hero's welcome.

Chavez and Ahmadinajad constantly tweak the American nose. Bush is supposedly on good terms with Fox and Putin, yet national relations with Mexico and Russia are cool. Fox is gone now and political conditions in Mexico are tense. His handling of the Israeli conflict in Lebanon was numbing.

At this point he's a lame duck.

Because he's a short-sighted, small-minded twit. That's fine if you're the spoiled, ne'er-do-well son of a rich and powerful man, not so great if you're taking over the family business. Also, he's instilling fear and hatred into the American populace for his own self-serving partisan agenda. And he sounds like a schmuck whenever he opens his mouth. Oh, and he lied to us about WMDs in Iraq to drag us into an unwinnable war that we had no reason to start in the first place, since the Al Qaeda attack on the WTC and the Pentagon was in no way connected with Iraq or Saddam Hussein. Oh, and then there's the whole lower taxes for the richest 1% of Americans thing. I could go on, but I've got to take a valium to calm down now.

1) The Bush family has a shady history. Even though they will deny it, but my grandfather knew Prescott Bush when he was alive. Prescott controlled Nazi money (thru WW2) and was even accused [by the FBI] to have funded Auschwitz-Birkenau, one of the worst concentration camps at the time. My grandfather was a WW2 vet who fought the Nazis and when he found out about Prescott's dealings, the friendship broke off. According to my grandfather, Prescott probably burned all evidence of his business with the Nazis. Bush's grandpa was never arrested or convicted.

2) Bush's father, George HW Bush, lied to the American people during his term with the saying, "Read my lips: No more taxes." He never did follow up on his word.

3) The current Bush sent our soldiers to war without the permission of the American people. It's our taxes he is using to fight this war, and we never agreed to go to war. We wanted police action and to see the Bin Laden and his group arrested. But we didn't want a costly war.

4) The current Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in Iraq. Everyone was led to believe that the Iraq situation would be another Afghanistan, a fight for a good cause. We thought we would be freeing an oppressed people

5) The worse sin that George W. Bush has committed against the American people is this: He never apoligizes for his mistakes. He has never, ever come out to the American people and said, "I'm sorry." Every time he makes a mistake, he sends out one of his officials to apoligize on his behalf. But Bush doesn't get up on the podium and apoligize himself. We Americans hate perfection and people who act as if they are perfect. We perfer imperfection so much, there have never been any laws passed to ban the papparazzi from getting dirt on celebrities. We perfer leaders who are human and admit their mistakes. That is why former President Clinton got away with going out on his wife. At least perverted Clinton got up on camera and said "I'm sorry I lied.".

There is a saying that fits very well with American culture:
"It is better to win by admitting my sin, than to lose with a halo." (from the Broadway play "Evita")

It is said that he has the IQ level of a manager at Wal-Mart. He has a very short span of attention and will fall asleep when the meeting goes into detail. He openly announced that USA would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons. He is a trigger happy comboy. He has a strong connection with oil companies. He is the President of USA.
So is USA better off today than six years ago? Are you happy?

Because Mr. Bush is not peace loving. He is taking rivals and misusing his powers. He is not perfect as a national leader of such a big nation. He is diverting the nation's economy towards increasing the power of the nation, not in development.

Most actually don't dislike him actively. A few (25%-30%) support him, and most of the rest don't care a lot.

The few of us who actively dislike him have different reasons. Mine are that I take oaths very seriously, and betrayal of an oath and abuse of power are the greatest sins in the religion I follow. Bush betrayed his oath, and abused his position of authority to effectively rape the country. And I object to that.
