Most popups are caused by spyware. You can either get a spyware remover such as Spy Subtract www.spysubtract.com or get a really strong popup blocker such as norton.

hi, i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. which is most powerful in popup blocking.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

Perform a Microsoft update if you use Windows.
http://update.microsoft.com
Install all high-priority updates.

If you have Windows XP you probably need to install this:
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - February 2006 (KB890830)

install a yahoo toolbar ,it is more effective than google toolbar .
if it still apears then download ad-aware from Google Pack (and run it). and delette old temporary files and cookies by opening the tools in internet explorer tools/internet options/delete cookies and delete temp file)
also open MyComputer then right clik C:drive (or your mani drives) then select properties and select Clean DIsk
that should do
cheers

If they are adwares or spywares, try to download and install windows defender beta(2) from http://www.microsoft.com.
If still the problem exists, upgrade your windows from the Windows Setup cd or back up.
It will fix up everything.
or restore your computer using system restore to an early date when it was working properly.

You need to install a pop-up blocker (Service Pack 2 comes with one, ditto Yahoo toolbar) or if you have one - turn it on.
