I need to know who CURRENTLY owns the rights to the 1987 TV series, "Beauty and the Beast." This series has not yet been released on DVD - unlike numerous other 80's series that got far worse ratings and have no current fan base. Frankly, this is unacceptable, and we're getting tired of waiting. I'd like to send a petition but I need to know to whom.

CBS still owns it and they currently have no plans to release the series on DVD.

I feel your pain. I have been waiting for "Witchblade" to come out of DVD and it doesnt look like it will. Sometimes like "WKRP" they series doesn't come out on DVD because of costs. In the case of WKRP they decided not to release on DVD because of the music used in the series and they would have to renegociate all the music rights again and pay royalties.
Anyway, it was released on VHS and still owned by the studio CBS. They will make the decision when to release on DVD
