There are studies done on where to place higher profit items in any sales set up.For instance the lower right hand shelf will contain the lowest profit items.Supermarkets also place perishable items in certain ways. Milk for example in a reach in cooler, the oldest product will be placed in the front left with the newest back right.Any item on the sales counter will be high profit as well, and generally the clerks will be trained in suggestive sales on these items.
