Circumcision is a brutal and pointless procedure that is only widely performed in America. It really decreases the sensitivity in the penis more than anything else. If you haven't gotten it done yet, don't!!! It used to be recommended for hygiene, but that is not a valid argument anymore (if it ever was to begin with). You can read about some of the drawbacks at these sites:

I wish I hadn't been circumcised. Good night!

Edit: It is NOT easier to get the skin cut off than just washing it! That's like saying you'll remove someone's toenails because they can get a fungus on them. Just keep clean and there is apparently no problem! The greater majority of men worldwide are uncircumcised. Most people who advocate circumcision are circumcised men or women who know very little about it.

Circumcision traditional started as a religious right of passage, and is practised by two of the three major religions at the present time (Islam and Judaism) it was practised by Catholicism some time ago, but is not mandatory in that religion.

it is supposed to be cleaner and more hygienic. This was probably true a few hundred years ago, and may still be true in developing nations, but is not the case in the west. Were basic Hagen is practised no a daily basis (washing, bathing showering, ect).

Some misconstrued people in the west still think that an uncircumcised penis is unhygienic, but then you have to serious worry about there other levels of hygiene. Also ladies tend to say the same, because they don't understand how easy it is to pull back the forskin and wash every time you bath or shower. If they can not understand this, then again you have to worry about how clean there vagina's are, as surely these take a lot more to keep clean!

Okay first you can't really get UNcircumcised but you can get circumcised. I think it started out as a religious thing but is pretty common now. It is mostly done because the skin is excess and is hard to keep clean and can harvest infections. It just easier to remove the skin.

The point of cutting is right after the head. Nothing happens if your uncircumcised, wash it like every other part of your body and it's all good.

Religious reasons and/or perceived advantages to cleanliness over not being circumcised are why males are circumcised. Assuming the reason is not religious, nothing happens if you don't get circumcised so long as you clean yourself as part of your daily routine.

it started as a hebrew tradition. Then it became fashionable in our modern society. It goes in and out of "style" by the decades. It is only a preference and not medically necessary. Some insurance pays for it some dont.
