That's typically an American attitude.
Why are so many Americans so concerned with their country being the best and first at everything? There is beauty in the peoples and cultures of every country.
Can't you just be grateful for the things you have without making it a childish mines-better-than-yours debate?
America is a beautiful country, but God created the world, not just America.

This is the problem with people's attitudes. America first? Pretty simple question and answer:
YES
THIS IS THE GREATEST SOCIETY EVER KNOWN TO MAN.
It drives me nuts that so many "American citizens" actually have to think about this, analyze it, or view the question from different angles. IS IT? OR IS IT NOT? (If your answer was the latter do us all a favor a get the hell out.)

First before what? Before what the rest of the world thinks is right? First to get our greedy hands on all the oil in the world without giving a darn who we have to mess up to do it? First to subsidize farmers NOT to grow the wheat that would feed the world? First to ignore all the pain, poverty, hunger in the world, to ignore the horrible scourge of AIDS, to ignore the genocide in Africa? to ignore the unrighteous moves of countries like Israel?---but First to take, whatever the cost, what WE need. (Believe me, the oil we take is not to keep us warm, it is to line the pockets of the U.S. oil company execs!!)
