Whether they are contemplating abortion, or are just afraid their birth control may have failed, other people get self-righteous. Yes, there is always abstinence. At the same time, humans have a sex drive. At the same time, birth control is not always preventative. At the same time, we need to get off our high horses, stop being hypocrites and have a little compassion for other people, instead of trying to feel superior in comparison.

I phrased my question wrong. Basically, what I am trying to say, is that we all make mistakes. When it comes to pregnancy, be it a welfare mother, or someone who has an abortion, we have no simpathy for either.

People like to punish the woman with the child. They do not want to help her with social social programs for good nutrition or schools and then the wonder why they are staring down the barrel of the gun of a car jacker and do they wish they fed this child and gave him an education? No they just think he is bad and decrease funding more for single moms. They just build more jails and release more hardened criminals. People punish the child. It is really easy to be mean about it if you have gone through menopause or are a man. If you have your own money and can send your kids to private schools why should you care about others? They are just mean and hate mothers and children.

Girl, I totally agree! We were made to, meant to have sex.
You wouldn't believe the people who looked down on me for having to get medicaid when I got pregnant. The place where my husband worked burned down, he had a new job, no insurance, we'd been told 10 years ago we'd probably NEVER have children & now we have a 4mo baby & we've been married for 16 years! IT WAS A BLESSING! A MIRACLE! But you should have heard the doctors at the hospital telling me that I could not go home without some form of birth control, because I was a medicaid patient & had an unwanted pregnancy. Unwanted???? I mean, they actually thought they could talk to me like I was a 12yo child telling me they could not let me go home without bc. And the people from the health department were JUST as bad when I refused bc when I went for my postpartum checkup.
I say, regardless if a woman is married, single, young, old, planned, unplanned..... a baby would not come into this world if it was not meant to be!! And let me tell you I am SO THANKFUL for my little man!
:-) :-)

The "blame" is not the best word for it. I call it responsibility...you have free will to do as you CHOOSE but with choice comes responsibility. If you can not handle that than you are to blame for the situation. I had a sex drive like any normal person but magically enough I wasn't an animal and could control myself...I was abstinent until I was married and you know it wasn't easy. If you are unwantedly pregnant because you were fooling around, than you are the one who must take responsibilty and accept the consequences of you actions. I didn't do it to you, you did it to you. So you get off your high horse thinking that everyone is judging you, and accept it!!!!!!!!!!!

Because they are self-righteous and think that they are somehow doing God's will...as if God will pat their head and say, "you are a good boy". It's as if they believe God is like their parents who only see what they do in front of them. God sees all, including what is in a person's heart.
I am morally against abortion, but I would never dump my views onto someone else's life. That would be assuming that I know how other people live, and me declaring my way of life is the best. All I know is that those who are mean and hateful about such issues like abortion are very miserable people. Because they don't want to deal w/ their crap, they escape their lives by harping on others.

I am not a judging but calling a sin a sin. It may not be what society wants to hear but there is a line between right and wrong and there must be those to say when you pass over it so you might save yourself from a lot of pain in the future.
I know there is a strong sex drive. It was given to us from the Lord. The same Lord who wants us to control ourselves and wait until we are married to enter into sexual relations.
Abortion, for any reason is murder. Would you not call a man on his crime if you saw him murder his 4 year old child simply because he wants to stop playing daddy.
If you choose to have sex outside of the bonds of marriage the just plan on having a child. Plan for the worst case situation and pray for the best. I am sick of my tax dollars going to support these little girls playing mommy. Giving them food, medical, shelter and everything else under the sun yet our elders must often choose between taking pills that keep them alive and eating. If we didn't have to support so many teen moms and their children, maybe there would be more money for other problems in the nation!

It comes down to making an intelligent decision.....
whether or not you choose to use birth control, it should always be in your mind that no contraceptive is 100%.
So, if you don't want to be a mommy or a daddy, then don't be playing dangerous games like sex.
It is rightful to blame the pregnant woman. Only intelligent adults capable of making life-long decisions should be having sex outside of marriage.
Sex can be a life changing experience and we should know what the possibilities are. If you don't want to face them, then use a vibrator or something to satisfy your sex drive.

I agree with u, but if one tried no attempt to prevent pregnancy and run to get an abortion I have a problem. Abortion is the worst form of birth control. Now if u made every attempt not to get pregnant but oops sh*t happens then yeah abortion may have to be an option. And of course for rape victims or at risk pregnancys. But just cuz abortions and no responsibility was taken then hell yeah I have a huuuge problem with that.

Its not that I'm judging people with their personal preference of sex,no sex, have a child or have an abortion. I'm not on my high horse about this issue, as long as young people understand that its a big resposibility to bring a child into this crazy mixed up world., and are to young to see that. Usually the money it takes to have a child, wantedly or not, usually falls on John Q public.,thru wick, food stamps,& welfare, etc. Like I said, doesn't make me any difference, I don't have to answer for anyones sins, but my own. So why do I have to answer to someones mistakes, and negligence or stupidity with my money. Thanks for letting me vent., yours truily John Q. Public

Where is all this hostility coming from and what gives you the right to label people as hypocrites? This forum is designed for people to voice opinions, and give answers. When we post questions on such a forum, we take the risk that others may not share our views. Not all human beings think alike, that's what makes us unique. Thank God for free will.

Just remember this phrase for some of those single women who find themselves in that position and am not sure how they might be looked at. Tell them to let others know that their child may have been unplanned, but it is most certainly not unloved. That usually shuts them up.
