but if the school system were responsible for educating our childern about the above noted, then maybe this world would be a better place, dont you think, cause if it start with the home, and its the parent responsibility, then why is the world not better, or at least northamerica?

definently OURS....we care about our children more than their teachers...school is there to teach our children the basic topics such as math, english, etc and society? HELL NO its screwed up lol ...i'd be damned if I raise my son to hate gay people and jews are bad....oh no...everything is the parents' job. We pass our existing knowledge on down to them then they chose where to take it and how to use it. Thats what being a parent is!

That depends--there's got to be a community effort in educating our children on a great range of subjects. The parents are critical in this effort but this must be a cooperative effort with schools, government, and society. We're all responsible, including advertisers and the media, and we need to take this responsibility seriously. This is a complex issue and a simple answer won't do.

it takes a village to raise a child.

ultimately the decision is up to the parents.

otherwise the children will discover through the other facets, school and society.

EDIT: in response to your additional notes. many children suffere from abandonment or neglect from their parents. growing up in a single-parent family can be bad for children because they lack the disciplinary figure they need.

these kinds of problems are self-perpetuating, as the apple tends not to fall far from the tree. this discipline cannot be achieved in school either. its important that children seek parental guidance. its solely a biological factor.

The parents primary function is to educate the child, you are their first teachers. If however the parent gives up the fight to educat5e their child then the child will be on their own and learn in their own terms by society...ie their peers.

First and foremost, parents. Parents even need to be checking up on what their kids are learning from teachers and society.

ALL education begins with PARENTS, ALL education STARTS AT HOME. If you don't have that, nothing else matters.
