If it was just a little bit of spotting, and the cramps weren't too severe, considering that you are around 6 weeks pregnant, it could have been the embryo attaching itself to the uterine wall.

I have both miscarried and carried a child to full term. With the miscarriage, the blood was bright red, and the cramping was enough to double me over. It felt like contractions, only not quite as strong. Though they were stronger than any menstrual cramps I had ever had. I also spotted some time before I was 10 weeks pregnant with my daughter that I carried to term. It was a small amount, and I remember a bit of pain.

I would suggest at least speaking with your doctor over the phone to see if they want you to come in for any tests, it could be that the embryo was attaching itself which is perfectly normal in your stage of pregnancy. Or it could be something else, but only your doctor can tell you for sure. Its always better to be safe than sorry.

I wish all goes well for you no matter what the outcome.

Have you missed a period? If so how many months late are you? You can still spot occasionally and still be pregnant, but if you did miscarry you might need a DNC to clean you out. Or you should go to the doctor and make sure everything is okay with your pregnancy. Everyone's body is different, I would not go by what happen to someone else even if it was my sister.

You do need to see your doctor to determine if you have truly miscarried. I was believed to be having a miscarraige but, on my follow-up visit, my cervix was closed and my uterus was still measuring as it had been before. So the doctor had to do an ultrasound to get the final verdict and, if it had been a miscarriage, determine if it had been complete.

If your miscarriage isn't complete they do a D&C procedure to remove excess tissue so this is very important to determine. It turned out I'd had a miscarriage that was complete so no D&C. Disappointment, of course but it was better to know what had actually happened. Residual tissues are not safe and must be removed, therefore you should see your doctor..

I found out I was pregnant on a monday and I started bleeding on Thrusday night just a little called the dr friday to see if they could see me they told me to get to the ER. They gave me a blood test and determined I was pregnant but they just had to let nature take its course and come back 2 weeks later to repeat the preg test. With a miscarriage it is alot of blood and real dark clots. Like if you had a really heavy period. I felt alot of the pain in my back and stomach but put a heating pad on it which you are not supposed to do if you are pregnant. You probably just had spots. If you are concerned go to your dr and have them test your blood for the hcg or hgc levels. It is the hormone that goes really high when you are pregnant.
A month after my miscarriage I got pregnant again but didnt find out for another month and 9 months later had a beautiful baby boy.
Good luck!

I've had more than one miscarriage all were different. I spotted for the whole nine months with my last son who is now 25. If you don"t want to go to the DR try a home pregnancy test if you miscarried should be negative

if you where miscarrying you would have red blood not brown but if you are feeling on edge and would like to find out go and see you doctor and they will be able to tell you. also if you have miscarried and you don't know then you are putting your health at risk as you might need a curate to clean you out. all the best and hope everything is alright.

these things sometimes don't give us much of a warning, if something is telling you, that something is wrong, don't ignore it, go to the e.r. if you have to!
