I want to apply for a U.S. tourist visa..i learned that one of the requirements would be to show sufficient funds to cover expenses in the U.S...I do'nt know what to do since i'm still 17 years old and my family can't show proof of funds that we could finance my travel expenses since the one who will cover my expenses will be a cousin who's working in the U.S... does it mean that i can't have my visa since i cant show them the proof that i could cover all my travel expenses?... my cousin has told me that she'll answer all the expenses...

Your cousin could submit an affidavit stating that she will cover all of your expenses during your stay in the U.S. She will probably need to submit bank statements and notarized tax return as well. Technically, proof that your cousin will cover your expenses should be sufficient, however, the INS a$$howles wil find something to reject your application.
