I agree! I always read the whole question, because the title is JUST A TITLE. I get frusterated when people respond to the backround info I include to help them understand the question, instead of the question itself! Nothing will ever be perfect, though, as long as humans are involved. That's "human nature," I guess.. heh ;P

If high school graduates in US can not fill out a basic job application, how do you expect them to read a whole question on Y A? They just want their 2 points and a chance to be a big shot. Then, if it's a religious person, they're too busy looking up a verse in their favorite book.

It's absolutely common. If you take the question you just asked and remove all the vowels from it, and then write it down without the vowels, you would be able to read the sentence the same way. That's because of the way our brain process's words. Try it.

I'd say it depended on how long the question was and if it was well thought out. If it's more than just a few sentences most people will just skim through it. Pure laziness.

often ´people answer the title
and then are to lazy to change their approach
when they already are writing the answer ,
but cant avoid reading the rest of the question.
some times happened to me when i was halfway through the answer ,but i always went back ,deleted or changed my answer, depending if i had a reasonable response or not.
