I am a month behind in bills and I had my bf cover it until I get my student loan. At this point I have asked him to pay my bills for the past month and I'd pay him back w/that along w/my checks from work. Earlier this year I paid his rent and utilities for 3 months bc he blew all his $ on games etc. I had to call his parents to get the $ he owed me..

Earlier tonight his dad called cussing saying that he was not going to support me and that he was subsidizing my living and education. *When in reality I had to borrow $ off family during his sons stint of not paying bills*

My bf did not take up for me and just said "she's paying me back".

What would you do?

I would of reacted the same way his father did. Because if the son was man enough to take up a responsibility a\of having a woman, he should be man enough to support his woman. Shame on him hi's pot you in that kind of situation.

A good man supports his household, according to God, the man is the bread winner.

SHAME ON HIM!!!

First i would tell your bf, to grow up and be a man you have responsibilities now go take care of them, if that doesn't work, unless you love him, i would leave him and do it on my own with more then 1 job if i had too..

Well, you now know that you should keep your finances separate from you b/f. You do not say whether or not you live together. I say address it with your b/f and always be respectful to his parents. He is not going to stand up for you, so don't expect that or his loyalty if you blast his parents even if they deserve it!

you paid for him and his dad had no problem, but him helping you is a problem, and your man didnt stand up for you, id kick his a** for one thing for not backing me and then id let his dad know how you helped him out and that he needs to but out cause it has nothing to do with him

Tell your boyfriend how you feel - and ask him to talk to his dad - its not his money you borrowed

If the father bothers you again, tell him to talk it over with his son and to stop harrassing you. Tell your boyfriend thanks for the loan, when you will pay him back, and to please ask his father to stop bothering you about it.
