I totally agree. There must be over 5000 postings alone here on Yahoo regarding Steve Irwin''s death. People die every day and so will all those on Yahoo. More important things going on that will affect the world at large than the demise of one guy. It's a shame and sad for his wife and children (the youngest of whom won't even remember him), but that is ALL anyone has talked on about, as though he were some sort of god. It's gotten into the realm of the ridiculous. Notice that say, a week ago, no one ever posted a word about this guy. And to little Left behind, dear, wake up. This whole Irwin thing is BEING OVERBLOWN and SENSATIONALIZED and the media, dear, is manipulating your little brain. YOU DID NOT KNOW STEVE IRWIN and neither did anyone else on this forum. This idea that everyone is weeping is horse manure! Your life and the lives of all others here and everywhere (sans Irwin's close family) goes on unscathed.

I see what you are saying. I do watch the news.
Do you think one reason for this could be the world becoming desensitised to these events?
Every day there is trouble in the middle east which no-one can do anything about but watch.
Another reason is that as news breaks in one country, many others are hours behind and wake up to old news. So the furor starts all over again in their part of the world.
When a larger than life personality like Steve Irwin dies, people react because that person has touched them in some way.
I am sure the world would be a much better place if we had more characters like Steve who are so passionate about the environment and wildlife, not warmongering.
He was a living legend who will be sadly missed by many.
That said, the death of any human being is a tragedy.

Greed, i ought to furnish up right there, this is the respond, notwithstanding enable me clarify, you spot the solutions in right here all the time. Capitalism is the economics's of greed, the extra you're making, the extra you elect, it does not make any sensible sense that we the richest united states in the worldwide does not have get admission to to wellness look after 40 5 million human beings. yet whilst ask, the common citizen will cite solutions that are incorrect information from the coverage company's foyer that wellness care in united states's that have it. is sub par this is an entire falsehood. The grasping coverage company's stand to lose billions if customary wellness care is observed, the drug company's ought to now no longer dictate how plenty we pay for existence giving drugs. yet another grasping industry. What their spin is they could now no longer be waiting to enhance new drugs, no longer authentic the two. New drugs nonetheless could be enormously worthwhile. basically no longer as worthwhile. I as quickly as labored for a trucking company that closed down a branch because of the fact it wasn't worthwhile adequate. It grew to become into worthwhile, basically no longer adequate. that's greed.

I agree with you! ... The death of Steve Irwin has taken prime time news and caused everything else to be washed over quickly. People should remember Stevo for his antics and showmanship.. After all that's what he really was a showman!.. His shows seemed to show him doing daring dangerous deeds and risking life and limb in the pursuit of making good TV. The fact is even though this stuff looked really dangerous the camera angles and editing of the shows added to excitement .In reality though there was most likely a guy with a gun or a doc with a bag full of anti venom out of camera shot waiting just in case something went wrong!.!. Its all about preperation and risk managment!..

I liked stevo shows, they made me laugh, His true life crocodile Dundee image and his Aussie chatter simply gave something extra to his shows. .Its great to say that Steve was a good bloke!...

Seriously now we ought to take a moment to morn his loss and reflect on it . He was lucky enough to die doing something he believed in and loved! and his legacy will be endless re runs of his shows providing light entertainment for the masses..

Right now there are two bitter wars been fought!, Iraq and Afghanistan. The outcome of both will affect the entire planet one way or another!. Yeah I know that every other day of the week we see on our tv screens the bloody aftermath of both conflicts and that by comparison the death of a dare devil showman pales into insignificance.

Over the weekend countless people died in these places, including 17 British military personnel, and 4 Canadians.. These guys where just doing their jobs, same has stevo.. Its a shame that no one cares enough to congratulate them for doing their jobs because what they where doing is so important to the free world and the legacy they leave behind once the war is won is continued freedom for us all .

Id just like to add one final thing. whether you agree or disagree with the wars, the soldiers who are sent into them!- deserve our total support! and not apathy!.

It all depends where you get your news and what your interests are. If you depend on the "news" Nitwerks then you get what you deserve. Hype, fluff, death and sex.

World issues are important but exactly what can you do with that information each and every moment of your life? Yes it may help us form opinions and help us decide on who to vote for or what organizations to support but life goes on or as is the case it stops.

The Press are like vultures, hovering in search of prey. They go for the juiciest morsel, whatever its relative importance.

do you think this could quite possibly be because Steve unlike the countries you speak of was actually a man that was an educator, wild life rescuer, a great australian icon, a real fair dinkum good bloke and a carer????????

get off your high horse loud mouth, millions are in mourning over a great loss to conservation education, a brilliant father, devoted hubby and all round top aussie man!

i couldn't agree with you more on this. things such as steve irwin's death take too much of our time. no offence to the guy that is. i mean he was a celebrity for heaven's sake. its the the iraq war and other world issues that we should be highlighting here that are of more importance and significance than some 'famous person's death'. mind you only a handful of people in this country knew who steve was. let's just move on shall we....
