I have a 99 Ford Escort. Recently when i turn my right blinker on the cruise control shuts off. Any ideas what might cause that? I am going to take it in to my mechanic soon. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it or had any experience with it.

I have changed fuses with no results. I've also checked the manual and it doesn't mention anything like that at all.

The switch you use for your turn signal, your headlights, your dimmer switch and CC has worn some of the wiring insulation away, or the contacts have become corroded or deteriorated in some other way.
That switch is called a "Combo Switch" (more correctly a combination switch).
It can be easily replaced, and is not all THAT expensive. Probably < $50 for parts and about $75.00 labor.

Are you sure it's a fault? After all, if you're indicating a change of direction, then you'll be changing speed also.

I doubt if it will be the combo switch, but if it is, you can often get new ones cheap off Ebay. The price from the makers is rediculous.
