It's possible. There isn't any known to be on a collision course . However they are considering developing craft that will dock with, or nudge the asteroid so it won't hit earth. Blowing them up is considered just as bad as being hit by the asteroid.
I'm not sure that even with this technology we're any safer. Worlds come & go. Earth will likely be gone some day. But probably not in our lifetime.

The Black Hole in the United States is only a theory...a possibility that we already got hit by a huge asteroid that devastated all the animals and the Dinosaur. With respect to its' entirety, we probably could get hit again, but is no where in our near future.

So far... scientist have not detected any treats.. but what a lot a people don't know is that the percentage of the sky that we are watching is about the equivalent of looking at the sky trought a straw. We are studying and observing only a tiny percentage of the space around us. Therefore... something might be coming right for us and we would only notice when it would get very... too close! And even scarier... officials at the us military have officially said that they are not prepare for such a treat and probably don't have any weapons to protect us against it. So in the end.... who really knows!!!

Could be, you see what asteroids did to the moon. I wonder, if a giant asteroid hit earth would it be instant extinction or would we slowly die from the dust and debris that would cover the sun for many months?

While an asteroid could hit our planet in the future I don't think that all life would end. I think civilisation as we know it could end but I don't think that it would necessarily be a bad thing. As an earlier answer pointed out huge disasters seem to be nature's (or god's if you believe in one) way of reseting life. I don't think that all humans would be wiped out only that we would probably be knocked back to the stone age.

You question does not make sense. Please clarify it. Sometimes my brain can interpret incorrect English, but it cannot at this moment. The translation program on my brains hard drive has temporally lost the function to process that confusing stuff. It cannot automatically fix incorrect grammar and sentence structure to comprehend what you are saying.
