I am primarily portugese but my mother is italian would I still be considered white or caucasin??

Why ask? Is white the race you "want" to be? Just be happy with all sides of your heritage instead of worrying about if your Portugese heritage has made you less of a white person. That's silly and a waste of time.

the technical term is caucasian, however often white is substituted for caucasian so it is about the same.
now if you are portugese you might be considered white (with Hispanic influence) depending on how you were listed on the 2000 census. Ask your mom.

maybe a brown caucasin, or a tan one, but not white, unless your skin is pale, then you could get away with it, but if you are light with dark features like eyebrows and hair and eyes, then your brown,

Does it matter ? I think no. Being human is what counts...Caucasian or white or......doesn't add any merit to your personality. All of us are equal before God.
