Yes, there is footage - yes I would probably watch it as I am Australian who likes diving in the ocean so need to know what the stingray did.....
"The underwater video footage of Steve Irwin's death after he was speared in the chest by a stingray was "shocking" his manager reportedly said today.
John Stainton told reporters the footage, which he had handed to police, was the worst thing he had ever seen, Sydney's 2GB radio reported this morning.
"I have seen the footage and it's shocking," Mr Stainton said. "It's a very hard thing to watch because you're watching somebody die and it's terrible."
Mr Stainton, also a producer and director of Irwin's popular television shows, said the footage showed Mr Irwin pulling the barb out of his chest before losing consciousness.
"It shows that Steve came over the top of the ray and the tail came up, and spiked him here (in the chest), and he pulled it out and the next minute he's gone.
"That was it. The cameraman had to shut down."

I would love to see Steve's final encounter with an animal, doing what he loved to do. His manager said he was in a great mood without a care in the world until...... I believe the footage should stop there.
I couldn't watch the rest. I don't think that footage should be made public property.
This is just so sad, love and miss you Steve.
God Bless mate.

No sorry, I would not watch it. I do not see nor understand how or why someone would would want to watch another person die. I kind of see something unhealthy in a person that could do that. I hope the video is not released to any company or outlet. Unless Terri personally requests it's return I think the police should dispose of it and any copies.

45 minutes ago on Oz radio it was announced that the footage is available, the footage is graphic and the damage to steve is apparently unbareable to watch infact they compared the blow to his chest as the size of a fist.........i'll pass, i loved steve and would prefer to not have anything cloud my beautiful memories of such a wonderful aussie legend.....RIP.

I am not interested in seeing it. And apparently, you have forgotten the horrfic scenes of 9/11. Don't want to see that again, either! Those affected EVERYONE and it just isn't something you want to see, the tragedy of others. Geesh!
