i was hurt at work, and am on workmans comp the company sent me a letter stating that my job had been terminated because they did not know when i would be back to work. my contract says that on job injuries are not considered lost time offenses. doe's any body have a leagle source that i might read on line. thank you, jerry

Workmans compensation insurance laws and union rules vary from state to state, so the best place to start is with your steward. There may be an on line source for your state insurance laws,you'll just have to start digging.

This seems like it might be a violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act. I'm sure it has a website.
