Reguardless of what others tell you, there is always that possibility of pregnancy if you do not protect yourself properly. There are no "safe" times, even if that possibility is slim it is still there and you can still get concieve. What i would suggest you do is,wait until your next expected period, about a week after if it is absent then go to your local drug store and purchase a pregnancy test.Even better,i would suggest you go to your obgyn or find one in your area.If you are pregnant they can make sure your child is healthy and give you information that is needed like what medications you can take and what ones you shouldnt and such.If you are not pregnant they can put you on the birth control that is right for you.Since this is in the adolescent catagory i am sure that you are not ready for a child and i am sure that you do not want to contract an std or anything of that nature.Remember that birth control isnt 100% effective and doesnt prevent the contraction of std's so have another form of protection available. Also,No method of birth control is as effective as not having sex at all,so think about that.Good luck and i wish you the best.

Not all vaginal bleeding is the result of a menstrual period. Sometimes a girl will have a small amount of vaginal bleeding at the time of ovulation — the time when she is most fertile. During ovulation, an egg is released from one of the ovaries and travels down a fallopian tube to the uterus. It's common for girls who are ovulating to have some vaginal bleeding that can be mistaken for a period.
Sometimes ovulation can occur before the bleeding from a girl's period has stopped, or it may occur within a few days after her period is over. Sperm can fertilize an egg for several days after ejaculation. So in both cases, having sex before the period is finished can result in pregnancy.

You can get pregnant at any time during the month. It is least likely during your period (while the lining of the uterus is being shed) and most likely a day or two after. If it was only once you're probably OK this time. You can take the morning after pill up to 72 hours after intercourse, if it isn't too late. But in future use protection - it saves a lot of hassle and worry.

Yes, it's not as likely as other times of the month but, it's definitely possible. If it was protected sex, (condoms or the pill or some other form of contraception) it's even less likely. If it was unprotected and less than 72 hours ago you can get the morning after pill (plan b). If not, try to be patient until the end of the month and see if you get your period. If you don't, I suggest seeing a doctor or a counsellor at planned parenthood to discuss your options. Good luck!

Why oh why are you having sex with your teen boyfriend? Do you not know the risk, not only of becoming pregnant, but also of STD's? You may find it fun today but when you are older you will wish that you had waited until your wedding night to give a gift to your husband that you have now given away to one who does not respect you enought to wait!
Yes, you can get pregnant ANY time you have sex with or WITHOUT any form of birth control.

Yes, very possible....because you can still and probably do ovulate (release an egg) while your on your period.....not to mention putting yourself at a greater risk of getting HPV which is also known to cause cervical cancer.
My advice to you:
*use birth control
*have a pap smear done once a year
*quit having sex until after your period and always use protection
*make him wear a condom everytime.
*quit putting yourself at risk of so many diseases and viruses that may or may not be curable.

It's possible. It depends on when in your cycle that you ovulate. Sperm live in you for up to four days or so. If there are live sperm in you when you do ovulate, you stand a good chance you will fall pregnant. It is not abnormal for a woman to ovulate much earlier when not on the pill. If you ovulate at day 10 you are at high risk. Overall not a huge risk but entirely possible. Take more care!
