Hey thanks. Some good ones there. I'm surprised it took to tehabwa to point out the wrong category of this Q, and even more so that no one's yet given a stupid label to this question. Thanks for that, too.

There used to be more categories (like threatening others, inciting violence or hatred). But it really needs categories for:
* Inane
* Who cares?
* Devoid of punctuation
* Needs to get over him or herself
* Lacks a sense of humor
* No one could be that stupid
* Unable to find the Shift key
* Unable to find the Caps Lock key

(Actually, this is the system that was up when I started coming here. Then they got rid of categories -- after a brief time when the categories were meant to be for staffers only, when they had quite a long list. Then no list. Now, a shorter list than when I started.)

* How does this person function in society?
* Does the questioner think anyone here gives a damn about this?
* Why doesn't this person get a life?
* Why didn't the questioner ask their mama?
* Questioner should have paid more attention in Sex-Ed class.

Because they'd be swamped with reports, and end up having to shut the whole system down. And then people would just complain about that. There's simply too much stupidity in the world to report it all.

But what about the people who answer stupid questions seriously. Some kid was talking about masturbating to his grandma, and people answered him seriously!
Or what about the people who write. "I fell down 15 flights of stairs and my brains are hanging out of my skull. Should I go to the doctor?" Okay it is hyperbole, but seriously, why are you on yahoo asking for medical advice? Why not just ask the garbage man if he will do your tonsilectomy?
I want to report those people who even try to answer those questions.

Because if there was a category for "This person is an idiot" or anything like that, Yahoo would have to hire a crew of a few thousand to read it all

Well as Forest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does." They'd have to have subcategories under the Stupid Questions category as well:
Intentionally stupid questions; stupid attempts at humor; stupid attempts at irony; stupid questions from people who really are stupid; stupid in love questions; stupid in denial about cheating spouses, boyfriends/girlfriends questions; stupid "is 9 inches big enough" questions; stupid "he keeps looking at me, do you think he likes me questions,"...and on and on and on.
