Don't put the crab in it, but clean the aquarium glass with vinegar, it will remove the hardness deposits. Then rinse the aquarium and replace the crab.

You can use vinegar or CLR but then you need to scrub the tank with dish soap and rinse thoroughly. Let the tank sit for 24hours before adding things back in.

If you put any level of water in the tank with your crabs then be sure to only us vinegar and then rinse the tank thoroughly and let stand for 24 hours to get rid of fumes.
