To open an html document from Notepad wont work for me. My instructions tell me to open Notepad. OK. Click on File Open. OK. In the files of type drop down list, select ALL FILES. OK. In the Look in drop-down list display C:/Windows....Nope...it isnt there for me. Where is it? My pc is brand new. After that step, it tells me to open the html folder. I cant find it! Any help at what I could be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The info I am getting comes out of a HTMl and web page design Module 1 School Book.

Simple. Just open notepad then drag the html file into notepad and it will open itself.

Make sure the "Encoding" just under the option for "Files of type" is set to "ANSI" which should display your html file. Otherwise you can download Netscape composer free from www.netscape.com and open your html file with it the same way you do with notepad.

Hope this helps!

Click on the start menu and click on "search". then go to "files and folders". search for it on your harddrive. once you find it, open it, right click on the page, click "view source" and it will appear in notepad ready for editing.
