You'll need some top-grade speakers for that to happen

You are only limited by the speakers that you use for the sound. Shop around before you buy. The only other consideration are the cards that you install. For that video card, you want as many connections to the card as possible, along with jumpers to your video card and CD. I would start with something from Creative and go from there.

Seeing what you have listed, that would be a sound card, video card, and probably a modem. Choose the cards that will do what you want because there are only so many cards that can be installed in your computer. For example, you want a video card that has TV-IN & TV-OUT, CATV, and more if you can find it.

Remember that your computer can also be a telephone, an answering machine, and a fax machine for that office that you mentioned here. It can also be your video recording device if you have the right video card.

Turning your computer into a powerful stereo is very easy, just buy yourself a nice sound card. For the rest of the things you're wanting to do, you'll have to buy a TV tuner, along with a PCI video input card, though what really works the best are ATI's All-In-Wonder video cards, at least from my experience.

If you have a nice stereo then it is easy to hook up good sound. If you want to see your computer on your TV then you will need a video card that has a TV output on it.

check out your stereo and see if it has an aux input. If it has i would imagine it would be for "phono plugs" Buy yourself a 3mm stereo jack to red and white phono plugs and connect to your earphone socket on your computer. Depending on your stereo the sound is amazing

Get the following things:

A really good Sound Card
A really good Video Card w/cable hook up.
A really good set of Speakers
Really good processor and basically a really good everything.

This will probably cost you about $2000 for the whole system but it's well worth it.

You need a powerful amplifier and good speakers. Then all you need is a 3.5mm stereo to 2 x RCA adaptor. I have done it and it worked very well.

You can get an external usb or pci audio card. Some nice speakers will help. In turn that can be your home theatre with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound.

not so hard, get a good sound card and some nice 5.1 speakers with an amplified sub and you're set.

They have a lot of high fidelity speakers and such for computers.
