Um, can you figure out a way to take away their freedom of speech without taking away your own???

(interesting to compare to the 2nd Amendment, I wonder what people would think of a 5-day waiting period for free speech, press, religion or assembly)

the stupidity of this question is so great that I must asume it to be sardonic. However the banning of the right to bare arms is about as likely as a ban on the right to free speech two of the oldest ammendments. Secondly it is impossible at this point to disarm the US, there are enough guns to arm every man woman and child more than 5 times over. You can't easily or readily destroy guns. Now, I personally like Chris Rock's take on it make bullets cost 20 or 30 dollars a pop and that'll make a "G" think about how he/she is going to use a gun.

Last time I checked, the USA was a free country and demanding freedom of speech was protected under Constitutional Amendment. Since the 2nd Ammendment has yet to be banned, then all is fair right now. :)

I understand that you don't want to see a ban on guns. The only people that would be left with guns would be the criminals. I don't understand where freedom of speech is tied to this except that we can use our guns to insure that we always have this freedom. I think that was the forefather's intentions. Hollywood would have you think otherwise but throughout our history the primary use of guns has been to hunt wild game for food and for sport. The problem with guns is that we have been given this right to own a tool that makes us powerful but we aren't taught by anyone how to use that power wisely. The only education that most people get about guns is from TV and that they are used to kill people. When it became a law that seatbelts were required to be worn Hollywood stepped up to the plate and started showing their actors fastening their seatbelts while driving a car. In older movies they don't do that. So why is it that Hollywood can't make an effort to persuade people to use guns safely and wisely. The reason why is because that wouldn't serve the Liberal interest of banning guns. When I was a kid I was taught how to use a gun by my Dad. He told me things like; You shouldn't point a gun at anything unless you are planning to shoot it, to never point a gun at a person, and that a gun is always loaded even after you unload it. You can never assume that a gun is empty. These are basic gun safety rules that aren't being taught by anyone except the NRA. The NRA has gun safety courses but doesn't have the exposure to the tube that it needs. The key is to educate people, not to take away their guns and leave them vulnerable. I personally think that the liberals in Hollywood should be held responsible for what they are teaching. Recording artists are promoting the gang lifestyle and should also be held accountable for the trash they spread. People need to be taught not to kill each other. They don't need a gun to kill. Are they also wanting to take away knives too. And what about rocks. You can kill a person with a rock. I wonder if they want to get rid of all the rocks too. I wouldn't be surprised. Cars also kill people and so does tobacco. Democratic philosophy makes no sense to me. What does make sense is that they have no respect for our God given liberties. And the right to protect yourself from harm is one of those liberties. I'm not going to give anyone my guns even if they do make it illegal to own one. If they make it illegal to own one. I will make sure I have forty.

Yes fair is fair. We both (at this moment) have the right to freedom of speech within reason.

Well not me dude. Do conservatives not want free speech..??? I mean I would love for Rush, Hannity, and O'Riley to just shut up...but they are entitled to the same Freedom of Speech that every Liberal is, so talk on and of course if they start to bore themselves, they can always put their second amendment rights where their mouths are.....

Now where would be the fun in doing that? I have such a good time listening to and reading their ill informed thoughts (generally) on America. I worked in Washington, DC during Reagan's 2nd term and it was great debating all the Reagan hater's.

I don't really understand the huge blind bashing of liberals as a whole, and when I read the second section of this question, I really didn't get it.

I consider myself conservative, and I don't much care for the things that liberals do, but when you say stuff like that, you're only hurting this country as a whole. This big fight with liberals isn't helping anyone. Quit being juvenile, get your head out of your butt, and think of something more sensible than to call names.

Liberals are liars and hypocrites. They want free speech for themselves but want to squelch those same freedoms for people they disagree with.
Hillary said she wants to crack down on talk radio, because 90% of it tilts to the right. They want to be able to control what is said on those programs. Kind of like the Soviet Union isn't it.

Yeah, every Democrat vote. They got many military votes tossed out, because they know 75% or more are Repub votes.
And lastly, Political Correctness is a tool the Dems/Socialists use to control the population, by setting unwritten rules of what you can or cannot say. What you can or cannot even think.
The new one is, you can't say ILLEGAL ALIEN. It has to be MIGRANT, and please leave out the word illegal!
