Labor unions have fallen victim to globalization. We are racing to the bottom of wages across the world. The upside is that eventually we will reach bottom and things will begin to improve. Only by innovation will we maintain our place in the first world.

Certainly, labor matters in it's own arena - are you suggesting that it's arena has changed in some way?
