Black, bright yellow or red will look perfect on you with that background (not too god background tough for you skin type).
See couple pictures at http://www.markofpassion.com/fall.html
Make sure your makeup cover shades under eyes (common mistake), make eyes look bright and lips soft and natural (but use pencil anyway to keep form on picture. Don't forget to use powder (use a lot don't afraid you can clean it up after) people with shiny faces on photos look kind of "dirty" and sometimes more fat then they are.

Enjoy...

Wear your hair the way you normally would at school. And dont put on really hard or bright, heavy make up. Green eye shadow can tottaly kill your photo.
Wear a nice shirt that isnt too low cut and isnt too high cut (i.e-no turtlenecks). Dont wear a shirt with writing or brand name. Writing can't be seen well from very far way, and isnt very "formalish".
Practice your smile the night before your pictureday. Decide if a tooth bearing smile or closed mouth smile is best. It really depeneds on the person.
And most importantly, look the way you want to be remember for the rest of the year.
ADD ON-For your hair, I wouldnt recomened a pony tail or bun, because your hair will "dissipear" behind your head, creating the illusion you have no hair.

Wear your hair the way you normally wear it.... don't put too much makeup on, it doesn't show in the picture anyway unless you have too much on, then it looks freaky. Just respond to the photographer, because they are seeing how you will look in the photo. Try not to laugh too much, though, because then you won't like the picture. But don't just sit there, a little smile is always best.

I think you should wear something simple and solid color if you can. Prints often look silly!
you should wear your hair down. Or only half up if you have a bad hair day.
You should just smile how you like to, but if you are really unsure, practice a smaller smile. Don't show all you teeth!

Wear a solid color top with sleeve, (no tube tops, or spaghetti straps) this will look tacky or confusing in the way the picture is taken and cut. Apply lip gloss and powder right before the shoot.

Don't wear a ponytail or bun. You'll look bald. Put your beautiful hair on your shoulders. With your skin tone, do a nice light pink, blue, or lavender.Actually, a nice blue t shirt or sweater would look pretty.

The best pics are those that look the least prepared. I look back on school pics and it seems the good pics showed a great smile and attitude, not the accessories. Smile purdy!

don't do anything too out of the ordinary...you want your friends to recognize you in the yearbook, and you don't want to look back and say, "why did i wear that/do my hair like that?!"...wear your favorite top and do your hair and make-up how you do for any other day. and smile genuinely, with your mouth and eyes!

My expreience is if I wear my hair stright back in a pony tail or bun my picture dosen't come up so great, but thats just me. Some people look great with their hair back. Just a thought for you. :)

Wear bright colors.
Smiling - enjoy being photographed and pretend the photographer is the sexiest hottest guy you ever saw and you're smiling for him....
it really works, try it!
