My computer recognizes my iPod nano, but not my new 30g iPod. The new iPod is recognized on other computers. Nothing happens when I plugged it into my computer. The screen lights up, but itunes does nothing. I get no message from windows either. My usb ports clearly work and the ipod works, but they won't work together.

I had this problem yesterday. Blow into the ports and both ends of the iPod cable wires. Or try a diffrent port.
