U2 hands down. Yes the Rolling Stones have been around longer, but Bono and the boys have changed with the times and not only are they a great band but they do alot for charities and the world in general.

Rolling Stones hands down. They haven't been the social activists that U2 has been, but their impact on music has been greater. That they are still performing at a high level in their golden years is amazing. I applaud U2 for their having a social conscience and a world view, but no one has kept it going for so long as the Stones. Even with key personnel changes over the years they have not missed a beat.

I prefer U2, but the Rolling Stones have had a much greater impact on music I think.

I prefer u2. Rolling stones belt out oldies , not suitable for my age.
U2 are more hip and trendy.i love the u2 version of the ipod player.
