Sometimes we hurt the ones we love in order to protect ourselves from the hurt that we know we will endure in a relationship....In order to protect ourselves from physical. emotional or psychological abuse; we may dissolve the relationship, knowing that not only are we hurting the other person by our separation but also ourselves.
We may really be deeply in love with someone but unable to resolve the differences, past wrongs or the turmoil that may come with the relationship...in that case we may pull back and hurt ourselves and the other person as well... because we are unable to find a resolution to the problems that exist and thus are unable to continue on.
Many times we hurt the ones we love because we know that they will stand by us no matter what we do; and so it is safe to hurt them as far as we are concerned...
the problem is that when the hurting goes on and on and on.... one day they will be unable to stand there and take it any longer ...
It is then that we find out how much their being there really mattered....
when they are no longer there....
It is then that we hurt ourselves and them the most
...because it is then; that we are both alone and without.

I wish I knew the anser..im tired of loving and then hurting its really starting to suck..I think people really need to act maturely and realize they are missing out on maybe the best thing for them ..but some people just enjoy hurting others i guess.......or afraid they may actually take a leap into a beautiful world ..I think mostly they are extremely selfish....

We know that the individuals who love us will be there for us -- supporting us, taking care of us, doing things for us -- that is why some people say hurtful things to those closest to them or hurt them in some way.

Ususally the people that we love, they love us in return. we know they aren't going anywhere, so subconsciously we take our frustration out on them knowing they will always be around. People always take others for granted. I don't think it's intentional, you don't intentionally hurt people you love (not consistently, anyway.) If you do, then you really don't love them.
