By default, I think movies are saved to tape and still photos to memory card. I want it all to go to memory card so I can download to PC.

When you record the DV video is to tape when you use the snapshot feature is used it is saved to tape at 5 frames per second till the tape is full you can use both functions at the same time by alternating which button you are pressig unless you using remote mode you should have a jilip software disk with your camera which allows you to edit the tape to drive from which you make your vcd svcd dvd the other acessories come as extra namely video printer docking bay ect I bought mine as full kit you can do quite a lot with it if you want professional quality productions have a look at videostudio 10 plus I use the retail verson you can download a fully working copy at http://ww.ulead.com as try before you buy you will find its all you need have a look its free and supports DV recorders direct to programme
