You don't have to do anything to become a dance teacher.

I know college students who are dancers who teach at the local ballet schools - it's how they make their money.

My sister in law ran a dance studio for years. She had no qualifications beyond being a USO girl.

One of the dance teachers in my college (it's a private college, not a university) only has a high school degree -- he danced for Joffrey Ballet.

If tafe is a high school I'd guess that they needed at least a bachelors degree and maybe a teaching degree, but I don't know for sure.
