I've been following closely and there really isn't all that much more news. And they probably won't release the footage of his early demise. It's in the hands of the Australian PD.

Surf the web. The animal planet channel just had a documentary reflecting some memoriam of him. Just wait, the media gets high off of things like this. The story is just creeping out after his death has now been confirmed. People magazine will certainly pub this one... No need for video-that would be insensitive and morbid! Can you imagine anyone you love being shown across the tabloids in the process of being killed? Think. There's a wife and children to consider.

The last news article I have read just a hour or so ago was that the coroner has the dying video (yes they kept filming) The news report said that it is believed that releasing the video of his death will be discussed with his wife and whatever she decides will be. I believe they kept filming, they have footage of the ray stinging him, him pulling the stinger out falling unconscious and then dying.

The news was just on here and they didn't show any of the video. They did show a stingrays spike. A man that was on the boat with him when he was struck talked. They started CPR and rushed back to shore to get him to a hospital but it was too late.

I do hope they release it, not because I am a sick freak that has no morals, but because that I want to see footage of how the person who taught me the most about animal behaviours and what not died. I would like to see his final moments as to understand his death and find closure, as I am strangely more so affected by his death than a normal person who never knew him should be.

No not at this time, and I am not sure that they should! Bindi is daughter and Bob is son I don't think that would be a wise thing to do at this time! Give them time to Mourn their loss before we go asking questions like that! ( I don't know if I would want to see it).

You want to see the video being shot when he was struck by the stingray? How abominally sick is that? Have you not any morals at all?
